The resin system slowly reacts at room temperature if no source initiates the frontal polymerization. After a few hours, the material exhibits gel-like behaviour between that of a liquid and solid. The gel DCPD can be shaped into complex shapes or imprinted with a pattern and frontally polymerized with a small heat source.
